May 2009 Newletter Updated 11/9/2009

From the PSC President Updated 9/8/2008

Welcome to the Plymouth Reign website! We are very happy to have visitors to the site.

In my years as a member of the Executive Committee, I have strived to make the Plymouth Soccer Club something everyone can take pride in, take part in its growth and feel a sense of community and camaraderie. In my role as club President, I strive daily to set the example of what a club representative should be as we continue to improve on and off the soccer field.

As our club philosophy states, we believe strongly in Community, Camaraderie and Competition in everything we do. You will hear me regularly repeat these three words as I feel it is our guiding principle in everything we do as a club from the Executive Committee member, coach, trainer, manager, volunteer, player and parent. Without these three simple words, our mission statement and philosophy would just sound like everyone else. I'm not comfortable being just like everyone else. If at any point this guiding principle is not followed, I invite you to contact me. Face to face meetings are always preferred as emails and phone calls remove vital aspects of the communication process.

You'll notice that the word "soccer" is only once mentioned above (other than in our club name). While the game of soccer is the driving force behind our activities, you should always know that developing the character, conscience and courage in all our youth members to becoming productive and responsible young adults in our community is paramount to the on-field performance or results. Having fun and developing great soccer skills will always be the short-term goals of all our coaches and trainers, but seeing the players become intelligent, respectful and well-grounded individuals later in life provides the lasting motivation for everyone in the Plymouth Soccer Club.

Yours in Soccer,

Glenn Liguori

President, Plymouth Soccer Club
