Reign 96 Girls Enjoy Camp Ahsem

The Plymouth Reign 96 Girls Team completed a weekend of Team-Building, Physical Challenges, and great fun at this year's "Camp Ahsem, Part Deux".  The weekend consisted of various activities like high ropes courses, river running, and physical conditioning along with friendly competition.  Great fun was had by all and the Girls are looking forward to next year's installment.

Plymouth Reign U13 Girls Win Mini Tournament

The Plymouth Reign U13 Girls followed in the footsteps of the Detroit Ignition's Win over the Milwaukee Wave by winning the Turf-Time Mini Tournament on the same Compuware Arena field.  Our girls beat two tough Michigan Rush Teams, both by shutout (2-0, 2-0) to take the championship.  A good time was had by all despite finishing the tournament after most of the parents' bed times.

 

Plymouth Reign U13 Girls Place 1^st and 3^rd in Valentine's Day Tournament

Two teams from the Plymouth Reign U13 Girls team placed 1^st and 3^rd in the University of Michigan 3v3 Micro Soccer Tournament held Saturday, February 14, 2009, at the U of M Oosterbaan Field House.

The "Killer Skittles", (Katelynn B., Kaelan H., Sydney H., and Catherine J.), went undefeated through the tournament to take the Championship.  Superior foot skills, accurate passing, and an excellent game plan enabled them to win all of their games.

The "Sour Patch Kidz", (Jenna G., Morgan K., Maddy S., and Whitney T.), were narrowly edged out of 2^nd place by a much more physical opponent and ended up in 3^rd place.  They all contributed to an excellent effort coming up just short in the final game.

 

Plymouth Reign '96 - U13 Girls Finish Second in Division 1

In their first season playing 11 v 11, Plymouth Reign '96 - U13 Girls finished in second place, only one point out of first place, in WSSL's U13 Division 1 Select Girls League.  Coach Lynn McGowan worked her magic integrating seven new players into the team resulting in the 5-1-2 record.  With an almost impenetrable defense, opponents were held to just 2 goals the whole season, with the 2 goals coming in the one loss.  All winning games were by shutout - a remarkable accomplishment.  

We are extremely proud of Coach Lynn and our Girls and congratulate them on this outstanding season.
